River is clearing and the striper bite is quite good. Stripers are thick from Chico downstream. A 44 pound male was caught Tuesday night near Colusa with a black worm. Most of the striped bass are 22 to 23 inches. Not too many have been larger than 30 inches. Minnows, black plastic worms, cutbaits work well. Trolling is picking up and the Alabama rig has been effective. Sturgeon bite has been very good, too. Colusa to Meridien has been a good stretch.
