The lake fishing continues to be very good. Trout plants from the state and Alpers have made for quality fishing. Streamers have been productive for fly anglers. Thomas Bouyants, Super Dupers and trolled Triple-Teasers. Worms are the best bait. Trout are two to four pounds. The creek is best fished with worms, salmon eggs and small spinners. Backcountry lakes producing well are Long Lake and Chickenfoot Lake. The lakes above 11,000 are still frozen. (760) 935-4311
