Montana Fish Report

Salmon are dying rapidly and should be gone by the end of the month. Steelhead will chase bright green caddis pupah throughout the high flow. Blue Wing Olives are ready to hatch and  that should go off during next week’s rain. A push of hatchery steelhead are half-way through the low-flow section. Steelhead are good-sized and hot. Don’t use less thatn 3x tippet. Still too many salmon for spin fishermen to work unencumbered. Fish First (530) 343-8300
