Montana Fish Report

Shore fishing really picked up with the south end getting the big ones from Popcorn all the way up to the nets.  Shore fishers were starting to bring in 20 plus pounders at the Willows and Warrior Point.  The bait balls have gone down to about 100feet with the trout still laying from 30 to 40 feet.

The trout are still hitting on just about any lure, no matter the color or size but the bleeding frogs and crocodiles are still a winning favorite.

Biggest fish of the week came from Tom Zimmerman of Nevada City with a 20.5.6 ounce cutthroat. Tom was fishing at Hell's Kitchen and was using a Father Murphy Pyramid Vibrator. Alicia Bowman of Reno had a great week bringing in a 12 pound and  15 pound trout in the same day.  Alicia was fishing from shore at Indian Head using a pink crocodile.
