Almanor surface temps have pushed over 43 degrees by midday. The heat is starting to stick and build, and so has the bite.
Avoid The north end because of water clarity issues from the Hamilton Branch runoff. However the east Shore from the Dorado to Canyon Dam clarity is much better. Canyon Dam area is a great place to start. Trollers are working the shallow shore line on the west side from the ramp to Rocky Point and back. Salmon eggs, or roe near the bottom have the attention of Browns looking for a free and easy meal. West Basin action is improving.
We got our best fish this week trolling Shiners and Needlefish from Goose Island to Plumas Pines. Doug Neal: (530) 258-6732 http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
