Bank fishing has been good during the week at the usual places behind the EBMUD boathouse, Rainbow and Blue Heron Point and the shore to the left of the center arm of the Marina slip walk. Most anglers are using chartreuse or rainbow Power Bait (eggs or worms) with garlic and glitter. Pistol Pete’s, Kastmasters and pink Power Worms on a water bobber set up have all been very successful.
Trollers have zeroed in on the Columbia Gulch and the nearby area and are pulling out some nice trout. The fish are at 10 to 18 feet and most are using night crawlers behind medium flashers and dodgers.
Bass fishing continues to be good along exposed rock edges along the shore, sounds like spinner baits are the ticket.
Water level is about 15-18 feet below the spillway and steady, water temperatures in the upper 40’s low 50’s at the Marina this morning.
