Fishing at the far end of Silver Lake where Rush Creek dumps into Silver near Wallace Berry's island has produced a steady stream of nice one pound stockers over the past week, as well as an occasional two plus pounder. Hatches are just starting to pick up for various insects so start to think about using some smaller California Mosquitoes, some small blood midges, or some dark colored nymphs. If you are a bait fisherman, Berkley's Gulp Yellow with Glitter or Garlic have been doing very well at "The Point" where Alger Creek flows into Silver Lake. If you are out in a boat try using some of Berkley's new Mouse tails, they are killing them with the pearl white/flourescent orange or Natural/Florescent Red. If you are going to fish Rush Creek, Salmon Eggs and worms have been producing some very nice Rainbows and a number of great Browns as well. Look to start using more and more flies on Rush and Silver over the next week, as the warm weather is pushing along some of the hatches. Silver Lake (760) 648-7525
