Fishing conditions:  Great

Report: Fly rodding on Shasta is still going strong with Float n' Fly setups. A lot of spotted bass and crappie are staging up in the water column especially in the backs of bays and sloughs. Fish the Pit or Squaw arms for the good numbers. Dark Float n' Flies fished at least eight feet deep continue to be the most productive method. Bass will still be on shad balls when you can find them, the trout are moving into deeper water for the most part. We are entering a very good time to fish the lake with a fly rod, we've got great guides who will give you a memorable day on the lake!

Hot Flies:

• Wooly Buggers
• Float-n-Flies
• Dead Drop Minnow
• Zack's Stillwater Balanced Leech
