Fishing conditions:  Good

Report: The river is still a little high overall, but not bad. Salmonflies are coming off above Dunsmuir, Golden Stones should be happening soon lower in the system. Bring your favorite salmonfly dry and fish towards dark for best topwater action. There are a variety of mayflies coming off, March Browns, Callibaetis, PMDs, and Drakes, so have your dry box ready to go with an assortment of Adams/Parachute Adams to be ready for what you see. The salmonflies either have or have not hatched according to who you ask. Either way, be prepared with some Chubby Chernobyls and they work well for a dry-dropper setup. Always have Rubberlegs, Perdigons, BP Weiss Nymphs, Poopahs, Zebra Midges and Bird's Nests to round out your offerings. The Upper is ready to go!
