Fishing conditions: Good
Report: Overall the river is in great shape, the temps down on the lower end are just touching 60 F and at 500 CFS there is plenty of water to fish throughout the system. Salmonflies are pretty much done, the Goldens are really beginning to pop. Bring your favorite salmonfly or golden dry and fish towards dark for best topwater action. There are a variety of mayflies coming off, Callibaetis, PMDs, and Drakes, so have your dry box ready to go with an assortment of Adams/Parachute Adams to be ready for what you see. The salmonflies either have or have not hatched according to who you ask. Either way, be prepared with some Chubby Chernobyls and they work well for a dry-dropper setup. Always have Rubberlegs, Perdigons, BP Weiss Nymphs, Poopahs, Zebra Midges and Bird's Nests to round out your offerings. The Upper is ready to go!
