Good action is taking place here for kokanee and trout. Productive spots include the face of the dam, Mexican Gulch, Big Oak Island and into Fleming Bay.
Kokanee can be found at 40 feet with spinners, hoochies or Apex’s. Rainbows are on a bite in most open water. Try running small lures, bugs or nightcrawlers about 10 to 15 feet deep. For king salmon working the river channel at depths to 140 feet for fish to four pounds. Threadfin shad or anchovies cured in Pautzke’s Fire Brine are working well on these frozen baits. Bass are being taken in 10 to 20 feet of water off main lake points with Double-Ttail Hula Grubs or Senkos. Wacky-rigged Sinister Wacky Worms in watermelon red also are productive.
