Trout and kokanee bite is good at the mouth of the river and upriver to Deer River/Columbia area. Fish are in the top 20 feet. Best lure has been Uncle Larry’s spinners with shoepeg corn. Shore anglers do best at Rainbow Point, the mudhole and the marina area. Use garlic scent. Bass aren’t heavy yet. Most average two to five pounds. Smallmouth are upriver. Carp are spawning so expect catfish to follow them to the shallows to feed on the spawn. (209) 772-8108
