Montana Fish Report

The trout bite has been excellent, especially from the boats in the south end. Most of the regulars are reporting three to four fish each with some anglers catching limits. Rod Theobald said that he did well this week by spending half his time bait fishing and the other half trolling, which he finds more fun. Mt Lassen planted 1,000 pounds on Jan. 17. Their next plant will be the week of January 30-February 3. DFG will continue planting 2,000 pounds every month through June 2012 and their next plant is this week. (925) 284-9669
