Almanor Lake Fish Report

Eight inches of snow came down in that last weekend storm, roads have been plowed and sunshine in the forecast for the week.
Ice islands in the west basin are melting away, while the east basin is ice free.
Canyon Dam is the only public ramp open with a dock, The USFS ramp is open, no dock available.
Clarity is holding at 7 to 8 feet. Surface temps area a cool 35.6 degrees early, and will warm slightly when the sun burns off that morning lake fog.
Lake levels @ 4485.16 ft. elevation, and 912,446 acre storage feet, that’s good considering we got very little rain or snow during the last 8 weeks.
The sunshine returns with more above average temps in the forecast, highs approaching the mid 50,s all week.
I live on the Almanor Peninsula and snow removal crews are just now clearing the ramps that I use to access L. A.
Rec. 1, ramp access road is closed, and will be plowed today.
While Rec. 2 is plowed, there's still ice inside the log boom...there's 18 inches of snow on the dock..
This ice will be gone in a day or 2 with the warming trend beginning today.
