Frenchman Lake is still open, no ice reported anywhere on the lake. There is ice on the road to Frenchman’s, so be careful, and watch out for people going to get Christmas Trees. Shore fishing is still good on the north end of the lake, the west side is better, around Lunker’s Point and up to Nightcrawler Bay. Nightcrawlers and Power Bait (chartruese and rainbow) are working well. Some fishermen are using marshmallows. Few reports of trolling (small boats) around the dam area, to the east of the dam, and near Big Cove are catching limits. They are using various lures, Rooster Tail, Dick Nite, and Needlefish.
