June Lake Loop Fish Report

Grant Lake continues to fish very well and all the loop lakes received trout plants on Tuesday. There’s a flow through Grant and the water is cold. One angler caught five fish in five casts on Tuesday. On June, the fish are deep during mid-day but come close to the shoreline during the mornings and evenings. On Gull, trollers are going down five to six colors around the edges of the lake. Fishing at Silver Lake and Rush Creek have continued to be stellar. Another big load of DFG fish and a good looking load of Alpers trout this week have set the bar high for some top quality fish. Your normal staples of dough baits have been steady all week, especially during the heat of the day, try using salmon peach or garlic Power baits. Also doing well are YUM baits. Early in the morning and later in the evening Worms have been producing some nice size Rainbows. Also working well this week was Needle Fish and Thomas Buyounts, tossing them along the South side of the lake. Flies have also continued to do well this week early in the morning and later in the evening when the sun is not beating on the water.
