The bluegill bite has been quite good and many are in the 12-inch class. The reeds on the west side of the lake across from the island to Deer Flat is the best spot. Red worms or pieces of nightcrawlers get bluegill. Bass are most active early and late but it’s a tough bite even for the most experienced anglers. The lake will be closed Thursday so the lake can be treated for algae. (831) 335-7424
