Flows Monday are 161 cfs. The river is still fishing pretty well, there's some good streamer fishing with hornbergs, mini leeches and buggers, as well as some good nymphing with caddis nymphs and small midge patterns. We've had a few good reports on hopper/dropper rigs, but that's been a little bit inconsistent. For nymphs and midges you can go with buckskin caddis, 3-wire caddis, fox's poopah, rainbow warriors, zebra midges, princes, pt's, san juans, etc. As the weather cools and the algae in the reservoir goes away the fishing on the river should just keep getting better! The West has been excellent these days, the section up near the marine base as well as the section through the canyon on Highway 395. Eggs and crawlers for bait, small spinners like panther martins and rooster tails, hoppers, beetles, ants, and attractor nymphs like princes and pt's have also been good. www.kenssport.com (760) 932-7707
