The eastern end of Don Pedro is producing good numbers of both rainbows and king salmon. King salmon are stacked in both the river channel and in the upper end of Woods Creek, target depth around 40'. In the river channel kings are found from the buoy line to Rough and Ready Island and for the kings in Woods Creek, work the creek channel to forty feet with rolled anchovies or threadfin shad. Using most small silver lures,(Ex-Cel, Slim Fin, or Apex) also are effective. Rainbows are scattered from Moccasin to past the Highway 49 bridge into the canyon from depths of 25 feet to the surface. Blade/crawler combos are a good bet, also trolling Uncle Larry's spinners or small hoochies behind a slingblade. Kokanee are beginning to bite from Six Bit Gulch to under the power lines, depth is 40 feet with spinners, bugs or hoochies tipped with shoepeg corn. (209) 586-2383
