Surface temps are dipping into the mid 30s. The public ramp at Canyon Dam is open with dock. Private Ramps at Rec. 1 and 2 are also both open.

Bitter cold mornings with stiff winds have kept most boats waiting till after 9:00 am to launch. Be aware that the ramp could be iced over from boats coming out, requiring 4 wheel drive to get your boat up that slick ramp. There's definitely good fishing right now, it's just a question of your cold tolerance and how much wind your willing to take. My opinion, stay home right now..hold fast. More winter weather due in this Friday and Saturday. Snow in the forecast from 3 to 8” inches at lake level. Always check the weather before making the trek up here.
