Surface temps are in the low 60s. The lake has changed from green & cloudy to brown and cloudy. This is normal for the fall transition. As water temps cool down, microscopic algae's die off. These cloud the water significantly until they settle out At a surface temp of 60 to 61it does require a game change for catching fish. Shallower water is clearer but anglers have to get their offering within 5 to 7 feet of a trout for it to be seen. Overcast skies this weekend are going to add to the sight problem too. Yellow, chartreuse and pearly trolling flies are ideal, but use attractant, too. Trolling nightcrawlers is a good bet. www.eaglelakefishing.net. Tim Noxon, Fish Traveler Guide Service, 530-825-3524
