Montana Fish Report

Mt. Lassen Hatchery delivered 600 pounds of trout to the South shore pond and 600 pounds to the South shore ramp last Wednesday. DFG delivered 1,500 pounds to the north shore this week. Anglers are reporting more trout catches between the trout pond and the main lake.  Most anglers fishing the main lake are getting hits off the shore.  Planter fish tend to stay closer to the surface and near the shorelines while holdover fish (from last year) are still in deeper water (about 40 feet-plus).  Big catches last week included: Dillon Audtray of Valley Springs with a 3.84 pound trout out of the South shore trout pond while using a lure.  Jordan Bozeman, a North shore Camanche resident, caught a 9.80 ppound trout up river using S-Wavers.  Sam Skinner of Sunnyvale caught a 5.87 pound trout by Houseboat Cove using a spinner bait.
