Salmon bite is strong. Boats are fishing at the buoys in front of the harbor and then working north four to five miles. Quality is good with salmon are averaging 15 to 20 pounds. The Englund Marine Salmon Derby is being led by 36 pounds (gilled and gutted). Salmon are in 130 to 180 feet of water but are 10 to 50 feet below the surface. Bottom fishing also is very good and lings are plentiful. (707) 464-1650
