Kokanee fishing is excellent. Boats are going upriver to the Columbia Gulch-Deer Island area and trolling from 90 to 120 feet with Apexes or Uncle Larry’s Spinners. Make sure to tip the hook with corn. Kokanee are just starting to turn. Most are 12 to 15 inches. Catfish will take chicken livers or nightcrawlers. Trout anglers fish near the Woodpile with garlic-scented Power Baits. Bass fishing is good in the coves in the south end of the lake drop shotting or casting swimbaits. (209) 772-8108
