There’s a bit of algae in the water in McGee. Weed beds are forming and perch season is on. A lot of two pound perch are being caught. Baitfishing for trout is good in the north arm and the mouth of McGee Creek. Trollers are going to deeper water (30 to 35 feet deep) in front of the harbor or McGee Creek. Frog patterns are productive. A 5.5 pound brown was caught over the weekend by Cal VanZandt. Mickey Baron (760)
