It was the busiest opening weekend ever. Anglers were elbow to elbow near the marina. Bank fishermen have been enjoying good action. Plants of 3,000 pounds went in both Friday and Saturday and another plant is going in this week. Best baits have been Power Eggs or Power Bait dipped in garlic. Trollers get trout but also kokanee in the river arm. Dodgers and Uncle Larry’s with shoepeg corn get kokes in the top 15 feet of water. Biggest fish was an 8.8 pound brown. Several browns in the seven pound range were caught. Rainbows take spoons, J-7 firetiger broken-back Rapalas or nightcrawlers. Pistol Pete spinner flies were a popular offering. (209) 772-8108
