Fishing off of either the north or south day use areas remain good spots for trout. Try using Power Bait or a nightcrawler with a 24-inch leader and #14 treble hook/sliding sinker. Use four to six pound test line. Look for steep, rocky areas. Trolling is still very productive, but the fish are down about 25 to 35 feet deep during the day. Try trolling the main lake with flasher/night crawler combinations or Rapalas. We are still seeing some nice trout caught from the pond but with the water getting warmer you will need to fish a little deeper. Catfish bite is now in full swing with the warmer water temperatures. Good areas include North and South Day Use Areas, (in the rocky areas), Causeway Cove, Camanche Arm, and the upper river area. (209) 763-5915, (209) 763-5166
