Striped bass angling is very good. Blood worms, pile worms and cut sardines held with two to four ounces of weight are taking bass right along the edges of the Sacramento River from Freeport to Miller Park. Most are four to five pounds. Some go to 10 pounds. A group of 12 went out to the Freeport Bridge and had their two-fish limit in a half a day. Prospect Slough, Cache Slough and Liberty Island have been good spots for sturgeon. Scotty Curly Carpet caught a 61-inch sturgeon in Prospect Slough on Tuesday. (916) 665-1935
