The flows on the EW have been a little up and down this week, settling Monday at 302 cfs. The fishing has been pretty good in spite of this fluctuation and in spite of the erratic weather. (Afternoon t-storms and the like). We've had some really good reports on trico's in the mornings the past 4 or 5 days, as well as the usual caddis nymphs and small midges. As the days wear on lots of anglers are running dry/dropper rigs and having some good success. In the evenings there's been some good action on the surface with small caddis patterns. Here's a partial list of some patterns that have been working: tricos, drowned tricos, GB caddis, swimming caddis, fox's poopah, la fontaines sparkle pupa, zebra midges, blood midges, san juan worms, e/c caddis, outrigger caddis, parachute adams.
