Fly fishing continues to be excellent from Redding downstream. Best fishing is from Bonneyview to Balls Ferry Bridge. Water flow is currently 8,500 CFS. When hatches occur fishing is wide open. Mid-day when temps are the warmest has been the most productive and anglers are landing 25 to 35 trout a day. Flies that are working best now are brown or olive micro mayflies, #16 and #18, and caddis pupas #14. Nymphing under an indicator is a good bet. Dry fly fishing in late afternoon can be productive. But most of the prime fishing has been done between 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 1-800-670-4448
