Trout Dispersed Throughout the Lake

Kokanee are now deeper in the lake with many being caught in 50 – 70 ft of water. Trolling and jigging are both popular techniques for kokanee fishing in Wallowa Lake. However, jigging may be more effective for deep kokanee. Anglers are landing kokanee with multiple fish weighing more than 5 pounds. Rainbow trout can be caught near the river mouth, and lake trout are dispersed throughout the lake.
