Flows have dropped substantially on the Grande Ronde River. Smallmouth bass can be caught in the lower portions of the Grande Ronde near the town of Troy upstream to Rondowa and in the Grande Ronde Valley between Elgin and La Grande.
Trout and whitefish will be hard to catch during the warmer months. Fishing for those species will improve later in the year.
