Water temps are between 56 and 58 on the surface. Frozen fog will be a normal sighting early in the morning of a clear night but an overnight breeze can keep the lake surface clear. A compass (smart phone users find it or get it) is better by far than a GPS for staying on course manually. Fishing has been up and down this week. Generally we see good fishing when the lake is rough and choppy but it has had its good days as well as its tough fishing days. In general there are a lot of smaller fish still being caught but also a few more between 2 ½ and 3 ¼ poounds.
