Fishing has been good afternoons on the Upper Sections of the Lower McCloud River, if you can find a spot to fish with all the anglers present. Try to NOT come during the weekends and target mid week for less crowds. Use small nymphs for small hatches and look for trout rising to may flies mid day from Ash Camp up or down. Fishing is good, but not like it was last week. Make plans to get up here before the end of July when flows will be a mirage. www.jacktrout.com, (530) 926-4540
