The rainbow trout action continues to be very strong. Modesto and Escalon residents Rudy and son Mike Berbena boated numerous bows this past Friday in the Flemimg Bay area, trolling from Blank Peak to the south end of Jenkins Hill and back. The trout seem to be holding at the 25 foot level and they were not picky.
Hoochies, Uncle Larry’s Spinners, Ex-Cel spoons or a plain set up using a Sling Blade and night crawlers on a 12 inch leader put the Berbena’s on their fish. Surface water temp of 63 degrees with good water clarity of 10 feet. Danny Layne (209) 586-2383
