The East is still running at 33 cfs even though there has been warmer weather this past couple weeks. There haven’t been too many anglers but the ones we’ve been able to talk with have been doing pretty well. The fish are holding up in the deeper pools this time of year so you’ll be passing up some water that’s just not holding fish right now. When you get to fishing those deeper pockets there will be fish stacked up. Small midge patterns have been the best thing going though there are periods of time when you can do well with small dries. Haven’t heard much about streamers lately but sometimes dead-drifting a zuddler, zonker or bugger can be productive this time of year. Patterns to try include flashback emergers, zebra midge, wd-40, micro mayfly, top secret midge, blood midge, San Juan worm, para adams, blue wing olive. www.kenssport.com (760) 932-7707
