Northern basins are iced over. Fish are still cruising the shoreline so shore fishermen have a good chance of catching a limit. Pikes Point is good, so are the Circus grounds. If the minnows are in tight to shore, the trout are just outside of them. Shore fishing between Christie and Wildcat has been pretty good. Again, the fish are cruising from point A to point B, then back again. Folks are putting their time in but coming back with some nice fish in the 18 to 21 inch range. There’s a good early bite and a good late bite. The lull on the flat water came between 11am and 2 pm. Mostly the trout are in close and shallow early. They have moved out onto the shallow ledges that extend out into the lake (6 feet deep on top) while others have moved out into 18 plus feet of water. www.eaglelakefishing.net
