Surface temps holding from 67 degrees in the morning to 69 degree by afternoon. Visibility is 16 feet. Most boats are working the waters from Big Springs to Hamilton Branch. The bite went from hot to cold every other day last week. This week it's just been getting better, with the bite going deeper into the morning. It took a few nights of no moon, and now they have started back up again. Big rainbows from two to five pounds are being caught. Biggest kings weight five pounds. All the fish are feeding on smelt. Bait fishermen suspending baits 6 to 10 ft. off the bottom reported good results using the cricket/mealworm combos. Doug Neal: (530) 258-6732 http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
