Bass bite best on topwater lures in the morning or evening. Use spooks or poppers in light colors or white bellies. Rip baits or jerk baits off points during the day. Larger fish are off points. Catch fish from one to 20 feet of water. Cast to the shore and work backwards. Use long pauses on the retrieve. Boat traffic makes trout fishing tough.
