Eel River Fish Report

by Nor Cal Fish Reports
2-8-2012

The main stem is in fishable condition. The water is on the high side but has good color. Steelhead are on the move and fresh fish are coming in. A lot of half-pounders are being caught – more than usual this time of year. On the South Fork, Caden Fisk caught a 16 pounder above Piercey using roe on Sunday. Fishing has been spotty the last few days because the steelhead are spread throughout the river. River is on the rise with the recent rain and should be fishable by Friday.
