Trinity still has a lot of big salmon in the lower river. Guide Mike Stratman said despite lack of pressure, fishing has only gotten better. This week he had two fish in high 40s and one larger than 50 pounds. In the upper river, water is low and clear but there are plenty of steelhead and a few salmon in the upper river. Best steelhead stretch is from Junction City to Del Loma. There are more flyfishers than bait anglers. Bait anglers use roe. (530) 623-4999, Mike Stratman (707) 601- 8757
