Striper action is starting to heat up. Recent trips by guide Bruce Hamby produced linesides from three to five pounds. Smaller fish also were caught. Troll the main lake from the dam to the narrows. The lethargic bass fell for shad, anchovies and herring laced with Pro-Cure scent. Target depth was 10 to 17 feet, however fish were marked as far down as 50 feet, but weren't interested. Hogan has plenty of water this year. Two of the ramps are under the water. But the west ramp is fully operational with ample parking. The higher lake levels will only make fishing much better. Water conditions are very good with only a small amount of debris. The lake level is holding with a surface temperature 69.7 degrees.
