The lake has a thin layer of ice near the dam, but there is open water visible from the dam. It's still difficult getting around the lake. Snowmobile is the best way. There's still plenty of snow on the ground, caution is advised. Fishermen have been using nightcrawlers and Power Bait (green and orange). Doing well in some areas (west of the dam), and not so well in others (hard to get across the dam, not plowed all the way across). Most are hiking to open water. (530) 993-4683
