With a launch ramp now available at Echo Bay, anglers are taking the opportunity to pursue crappie in the Overton Arm. Many anglers have found good fishing for channel catfish and striped bass. They are using shad or anchovy chunks to catch the fish. Government Wash is a striper hotspot though it has seen a slowdown in recent days. Rat-L-Traps and jigs fished in the shallows have caught fish.
