Trout fishing closed Sept. 15 in the mainstem and tributaries. Chinook fishing in the lower Smith should be slowing down even further after a mediocre season. Chinook fishing is not allowed above the confluence with Spencer Creek in the mainstem Smith nor above Johnson Creek in the North Fork Smith.
